The Russian Ministry of Defense (RuMoD) released images this Monday, October 9, showing the destruction of a Patriot missile battery belonging to Ukrainian forces.

The attack took place near the locality of Pashena Balka, in the Dnepropetrovsk region, according to Russian authorities.
According to information released by Russian Defense, the attack was carried out by a team operating the Iskander ballistic missile system. Missiles were launched against the positions of the Patriot battalion, which included a multifunctional AN/MPQ-65 radar, an AN/MSQ-104 engagement control station, a Patriot SAM missile launcher, as well as personnel from the Ukrainian Air Defense Battalion (AFU AD). Another Patriot missile system launcher was also damaged in the attack.
Pashena Balka, where the destruction was recorded, is located approximately 250 km from possible Iskander-M launch points within Russian territory, highlighting the range and precision of the Iskander missile system in operation.
These images released by RuMoD emphasize the escalation of confrontations between Russian and Ukrainian forces, with both sides using high-tech weapons systems in an effort to gain an advantage on the battlefield.
